Omnistrip® – Sterile Wound Closure Strips

Omnistrip is a skin-coloured, elastic strip of non-woven fabric coated with a hypoallergenic adhesive. Its innovative way of sticking is gentle and suitable for closing small wounds and surgical incisions without stitches. The edges of the strip are rounded and permeable to air and water. The strips prevent maceration of the skin, hold securely and come off painlessly without leaving marks.

Available in different sizes, ready to use.

Omnistrip is suitable for:

• Atraumatic, suture-free wound closure.
• Relieving tension on the edges of wounds closed with stitches or staples.
• Stabilising fresh scars.

Caution:

Before applying Omnistrip, do not put additional reinforcing strips on the skin.

Incised wounds are covered with additional sterile strips placed in parallel.

The first strip is always placed over the middle of the wound.

The gap between the strips should be about 3 mm, so that wound exudate can drain freely.

Placing the strips crosswise is recommended only over joints or parts of the body that are exposed to more stretching and pulling.

When removing Omnistrip, pull both ends of the sterile strip towards the wound and then carefully lift it off the wound.
